Minneapolis, MN – The World Deaf Curling Championship 2025 is set to bring elite-level competition to the heart of the North American curling community. Hosted at the prestigious Four Seasons Curling Club, this exciting event will feature top Deaf curling teams and over one hundred participants from eleven nations competing for championship titles in Mixed Doubles, Men’s, and Women’s divisions.

The event which will take place from April 22 to May 4 at the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, Minnesota – is sanctioned by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD), which is an IOC-recognized Olympic Sports Organization. The ICSD, which recently celebrated its centennial, is the second-oldest Olympic sport organization – only the Olympics is older. To be eligible for ICSD-sanctioned competitions, athletes must have a hearing loss of greater than 55dB in their better ear.

A total of 8 teams will compete in the Mixed Doubles category, 7 teams in the Men’s division, and 6 teams in the Women’s competition. The championship will showcase not only the athleticism and skill of Deaf curlers but also the camaraderie and community that defines the sport.

David Nathanson (St. Paul, MN) and Mary Rose Weber (White Bear Lake, MN) will represent the United States in the Mixed Doubles event. Keith Mischo (Arvada, CO), Andrew Palmberg (Bloomington, MN), Steven Coates (Gardner, MA), John Knetzger (Milwaukee, WI), and David Uzzell (Minneapolis, MN) will represent the United States’ men’s team.
