Hello from Tokyo, Japan. We're here for the Deaflympics. If you're a US citizen, need help with a passport or travel papers, the US Embassy can help.

You can visit their website for travel tips, contact info, and emergency support while you're here in Japan. They also have a list of health care providers just in case of a medical emergency during your stay here. Before you travel, make sure you register with STEP. That's the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program so that the embassy can contact you quickly in an emergency. You can learn more at travel.state.gov/step.

If you need help while you are here, you can also email the embassy or contact Jim Chevlin. He is the point of contact for American citizen services during the Deaflympics. The Embassy email is listed below, FBU.Tokyo@ssa.gov

Help is available between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Japanese time. Stay safe, travel smart, and go USA.
