Kilthau Selected as Team Leader of US Team to 2007 Pan American Deaf Games
SIOUX FALLS, SD — May 1, 2007 — The USA Deaf Sports Federation announced today the selection of Raymond Kilthau as Team Leader of the US Team to the Pan American Deaf Games.
Kilthau, 48, of Denver, Colorado has been a figure in the USADSF arena for a couple of years in various capacities. He was born in Denver, CO. He received two B.A. degrees in Political Science and History from Metropolitan State College in Denver and is currently a programmer analyst with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Denver.
Prior to this announcement, he previously served as president of the United States of America Deaf Basketball (USADB) from 2002 to 2006 and he also served as president of the Midwest Athletic Association of the Deaf (MAAD) from 1998 through 2002. He was a Team Leader for the US Men's and Women's Basketball teams that went to the Summer Deaflympics in Melbourne, Australia in 2005.
In his spare time, Raymond enjoys traveling, reading, and playing with his two dogs, Java and Della. He is also enjoying his new role as a grandfather. He resides in Colorado with his wife, Diane.
This team leader position required approval of the USADSF Board and offers no remuneration.
Raymond will begin his duty immediately after this press release and he will contact POC and coaches of each sport to discuss the preparation for the Pan American Deaf Games.
