USADSF to Host a Deaf Sports Mini-Conference
SIOUX FALLS, SD — November 13, 2006 — President Lawrence Fleischer announced the agenda for a deaf sports mini-conference. Both members and non-members are welcome to attend the all-day conference. Topics such as leadership in deaf sports, USADSF's organizational and marketing challenges, and support for athletes, to name a few, will be discussed.
The conference is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 in the Student Academic Center, SAC room 1211, at Gallaudet University. The SAC is located in the lower left corner of grid C3 on this map.
The theme of the conference is "Deaf Sports in the United States: Leadership Issues and Concerns".
The weekend schedule is as follows:
FRIDAY - December 1
Executive Board meeting (3 – 6 pm in SAC Room 1110)
NSO Council (7 – 9 pm in SAC Room 1110)
SATURDAY - December 2
Deaf Sports Mini-Conference (9 am – 5 pm in SAC Room 1211 - see agenda)
SUNDAY - December 3
2006 House of Delegates (8:30 am – 1 pm in SAC Room 1211 - see agenda)
Information packets regarding the House of Delegates were sent by the USADSF Home Office to NSO representatives and chairs of standing and ad hoc committees last September.
