Several topics that are not covered here, such as USADSF's strategic goals, a reunion of former Deaflympic athletes at the 2007 Winter Deaflympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and tryouts and qualifying events for the 2007 US Team, to name a few, will be covered in more details in upcoming issues. Sincerely, John Knetzger Stacy Nowak and Katie Spiegel traveled to Taiwan last year to attend the International Deaf Youth Camp, hosted by YMCA Taipei and the Rotary Club of Taipei Dragon River. Taipei is the host of the 2009 Summer Deaflympics. Ms. Nowak wrote an article about their trip. US Team Earns 31 Medals at 2005 Summer Deaflympics The 2005 Summer Deaflympics concluded last January in Melbourne, Australia.
One hundred and seventy-two athletes represented the USA in 12 sports, and there
were 8 gold medal winners, along with 11 silvers and 12 bronzes. The men's and
