USADSF and CSD Announce Partnership

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — April 6, 2002 — The USA Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF) and CSD recently announced an exciting and innovative new partnership between the two organizations. The partnership, which includes the recent relocation of the USADSF Home Office from Utah to the CSD campus, marks the beginning of a new era in USADSF history.

The agreement promotes closer cooperation between both groups, with the goal of utilizing the strengths of each to complement the other. As a part of the agreement, USADSF will contract with CSD to provide a number of vital support and administrative services. The USADSF thus becomes the showcase for the CSD "community solutions" mission, providing a viable demonstration of applications in a fully functional environment to future CSD clients and partners. As well, the USADSF will, through its programs and services, bring increased numbers of visitors to the CSD campus and to the outstanding venues available for sports and recreational opportunities in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas.

"Our partnership highlights the leadership of CSD as a leading-edge human service organization, capable of developing and integrating collaborative partnerships," said Dr. Bobbie Beth Scoggins, USADSF president. "USADSF members and athletes will benefit greatly from this move. It will strengthen our service provision systems, in addition to maintaining and improving membership benefits."

Dr. Benjamin Soukup, chief executive officer of CSD added, "This strategic partnership will also validate the importance and the benefits of organizational reciprocity. We expect that our agreement will position both USADSF and CSD as proactive leaders in creating innovative and workable solutions for groups wishing to utilize the full strength of organizational partnerships in the deaf community."
